Role Summary

As a Capture Manager at Tsymmetry, Inc, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire capture management process, from identifying potential opportunities to leading proposal efforts and ultimately securing contracts. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, an expert communicator, and a hands-on leader who can guide and contribute to every aspect of the capture process.

What you will be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Opportunity Identification:
    • Identify and assess potential business opportunities within our target markets.
    • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to inform capture strategies.
  2. Capture Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop and execute capture plans that align with the company's growth objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define win themes, pricing strategies, and customer value propositions.
    • Utilize the Shipley Process or similar methodologies to guide capture efforts effectively.
    • Identify teaming strategy and negotiate teaming agreements.
  3. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead and inspire cross-functional capture teams, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment, driving team cohesion and accountability.
    • Work closely with subject matter experts, proposal writers, and technical teams to develop winning proposals.
  4. Proposal Development:
    • Take an active role in proposal writing and review, ensuring proposals are compelling, compliant, and well-structured.
    • Collaborate with proposal teams to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
  5. Customer Engagement:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and potential clients.
    • Engage with key decision-makers, understanding their needs, and tailoring capture strategies accordingly.
  6. Contract Award:
    • Develop negotiation strategies and participate in contract discussions.

Ensure a smooth transition from the capture phase to contract execution, working closely with project management teams.

What we need from you

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of leading and winning capture efforts for US government contracts.
  • Strong familiarity with the Shipley Process or similar capture methodologies.
  • Exceptional proposal writing and editing skills.
  • Experience working with small businesses and helping them grow is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
